The Samsung Galaxy S25 Lineup is Here, These Are the Best New Features

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, S25 Plus, and S25

Samsung is taking AI to new heights with its latest phones. The highly anticipated Galaxy S25 lineup is packed with cutting-edge artificial intelligence features designed to enhance your daily life. Some features are innovative updates to past favorites, while others are completely new additions.

Set to launch on February 7, these smartphones are already creating quite a buzz. If you’re thinking about upgrading, here’s a look at the standout features of the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. It’s also important to note that some of the features will be available on other Galaxy devices as an OS update but they haven’t announced when that will be released.

One UI 7

Samsung’s latest interface, One UI 7, focuses on making your phone more intuitive and visually appealing. Widgets are now more interactive, themes are customizable down to the smallest detail, and the AI-enhanced suggestions learn your habits to provide shortcuts for the apps and settings you use most often.

A standout feature in One UI 7 is the “Now Bar,” Samsung’s streamlined navigation tool, comparable to Apple’s Dynamic Island. Positioned at the bottom of the screen, the Now Bar adapts to your activities, offering quick access to frequently used apps, music playback controls, timers, and more.

This feature extends its utility to the lock screen, providing real-time updates on the weather, music suggestions, and other useful insights.

The “Now Brief” feature is like having a personal assistant in your pocket. Powered by advanced AI, this feature compiles your schedule, weather updates, news, and reminders into one customizable widget. Brief cards update throughout the day showing you content you have selected to include.

ProScaler

The Samsung Galaxy S25 series also introduces ProScaler, an advanced AI-driven feature designed to enhance your visual experience across various applications. Integrated into the Galaxy S25+ and S25 Ultra models, ProScaler utilizes efficient AI image processing to deliver a 40% improvement in display image scaling quality.

By leveraging the power of the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, ProScaler ensures that images and videos are upscaled with remarkable clarity and detail, providing a high-definition viewing experience without the need for manual display adjustments.

Enhanced Gemini App

Upgrades to the Gemini app include easy access with a long hold on the power button. Gemini can also now complete multiple tasks across Samsung apps and some third-party applications. For example, you might ask it to find songs about friendship and compile a playlist and send it to a friend and it will complete the playlist in Spotify then open and draft a text message with the playlist attached.

New Camera Features

While the main camera setup remains largely unchanged for the Galaxy S25 and S25+, software updates have improved color accuracy and low-light photography. The S25 Ultra stands out with its new 50MP ultrawide lens, offering significantly better performance for capturing expansive scenes.

For video enthusiasts, the Audio Eraser tool is a game-changer.

This AI-powered feature isolates voices and removes unwanted background noise from videos. Whether it’s wind, traffic, or other distractions, Audio Eraser enhances audio clarity with suggestions for adjustments, making your videos sound just as you intended.

Thinner, Slimmer Design

Samsung has refined the Galaxy S25 lineup to be thinner and lighter while incorporating eco-friendly materials and a nearly bezel-less display.

  • Galaxy S25: 146.9 x 70.5 x 7.2 mm, 162 grams
  • Galaxy S25+: 158.4 x 75.8 x 7.3 mm, 190 grams
  • Galaxy S25 Ultra: 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2 mm, 218 grams

While the size differences from their predecessors are subtle, they enhance comfort and portability. Samsung has also teased the Galaxy S25 Edge, expected to launch in April 2025 with a depth of just 6.4 mm—making it one of the slimmest Galaxy devices to date.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 lineup is shaping up to be one of the most advanced smartphone releases of the year. With features like a revamped camera, enhanced AI tools, and a sleek new design, these phones are designed to fit seamlessly into your life. The S25 is available for pre-order now, and Samsung is offering trade-in deals to make upgrading easier. If you’re ready to experience the future of smartphones, February 7 is just around the corner!
