As the holiday season approaches, McDonald’s has delighted fans by bringing back its beloved Holiday Pie, a festive treat that has become an annual favorite since its debut in 1999. Starting November 15, this limited-time dessert is officially available in select cities. But sightings of the beloved pie began in the days before the official release date with social media users abuzz about the seasonal delight. Of course, some folks have also tried to recreate the magic of this pie at home (more on that later).

What is a McDonald’s Holiday Pie?

The Holiday Pie is a similar shape to the well-known McDonald’s Baked Apple Pie but the flaky crust is filled with custard, then the whole thing is glazed with sugar, and finished off with rainbow sprinkles. McDonald’s describes it as “the greatest gift to yourself.” The pie’s unique flavor and nostalgic charm has many fans expressing excitement on TikTok and Instagram.

According to fans online, the pies have been found in Toledo, Ohio; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and locations in Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Arkansas, and Pennsylvania.
