Guinness World Record 🏆

IHOP isn’t just stopping at free pancakes this year—they’re going for a world record! On Saturday, March 1, at the Santa Monica Pier, IHOP will host an event called 20K for Pancake Day. Their goal? To serve an incredible 20,000 pancakes in just eight hours and set a new Guinness World Record for the most pancakes served in a single day.

“National Pancake Day is a holiday our fans have come to know and love, which is why we wanted to make the celebration even bigger for our 20th anniversary with 20K for Pancake Day,” said Vice President of Brand Creative at IHOP Lenna Yamamichi. “We’re setting out to officially crown IHOP as the champion of pancakes by breaking the Guinness World Record title for most pancakes served in a single day.”

Leading this ambitious effort is IHOP’s Chef Art Carl and his team, who will be flipping pancakes from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT. But this isn’t just about making history—for every pancake served, IHOP will donate $1 to Feeding America, supporting the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. If you’re in the area, you’re invited to come out, cheer them on, and enjoy a delicious pancake while witnessing history in the making.

A Sweet Partnership with Feeding America 🤝

In addition to their record-breaking event, IHOP is continuing its longstanding partnership with Feeding America to help provide meals for those in need. Throughout the month of March, diners can participate by rounding up their total bill to the nearest dollar, with the extra change going directly to Feeding America.

With 47 million people facing hunger in the U.S.—including nearly 14 million children—every donation counts. By simply rounding up your check or enjoying a free pancake, you can make a difference in the fight against hunger.
